How well does Xagrid(Anagrelide) work?
This section summarizes the clinical evidence supporting the drug's effectiveness.
Clinical Effectiveness
Clinical studies in patients with myeloproliferative neoplasms demonstrated that AGRYLIN effectively reduces elevated platelet counts. The mean platelet count decreased from a baseline exceeding 1,000,000/µL to below 600,000/µL within weeks of treatment, with sustained control observed over long-term therapy. Efficacy was demonstrated both as monotherapy and in patients receiving concomitant cytoreductive treatments like hydroxyurea. A response was defined as a reduction in platelets to ≤600,000/µL or by at least 50% from baseline.
