Before taking Vabysmo(Faricimab-svoa)
Important precautions include monitoring for endophthalmitis, retinal detachments, and intraocular pressure increases.
Safety Considerations
Intravitreal injections may lead to endophthalmitis or retinal detachments. Transient intraocular pressure increases can occur within 60 minutes post-injection. There is a potential risk of arterial thromboembolic events. Contraindications include ocular or periocular infections, active intraocular inflammation, and hypersensitivity to faricimab. Use aseptic technique and monitor patients appropriately after administration.
