Key Precautions

Prior to starting therapy, all patients must be tested for current or prior Hepatitis B virus infection due to the risk of HBV reactivation. Concomitant use with amiodarone is not recommended as it may cause serious slow heart rate. Using EPCLUSA with certain drugs like rifampin, St. John's wort, or carbamazepine is not advised as they may reduce its effectiveness. Patients should inform their healthcare provider about all medications they are taking.
