Warnings and Considerations

ZETIA is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ezetimibe or any product excipients. It is also contraindicated when used in combination with a statin, fenofibrate, or other LDL-lowering therapy if that specific therapy is itself contraindicated for the patient. Use is not recommended in patients with moderate to severe hepatic impairment. Caution is advised regarding potential drug interactions, especially with cyclosporine and fibrates, which require monitoring or are not recommended.
