Precautions for FASLODEX® use include managing potential bleeding risks, monitoring for hepatic impairment, and avoiding its use during pregnancy.
Precautions
FASLODEX® should be used with caution in patients who have bleeding diatheses, thrombocytopenia, or those using anticoagulants due to the risk of bleeding. In patients with moderate hepatic impairment, the dose of FASLODEX® should be reduced to 250 mg to prevent increased drug exposure. Caution is also advised in the administration of FASLODEX® to avoid injection site reactions, particularly at the dorsogluteal site, where there is a risk of sciatic nerve injury. Furthermore, FASLODEX® can cause fetal harm and should be avoided in pregnant women. It is also contraindicated in breastfeeding.
