Before taking this medicine
MOUNJARO should be used with caution in patients with certain medical conditions, including a history of pancreatitis, diabetic retinopathy, or severe gastrointestinal disorders.
Precautions
MOUNJARO carries several important precautions. It has been associated with pancreatitis, and patients should discontinue use if pancreatitis is suspected. The drug may also exacerbate diabetic retinopathy in patients with a history of this condition, so careful monitoring is required. Severe gastrointestinal side effects, including nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, may occur. Patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases should be closely monitored. Additionally, the use of MOUNJARO with insulin secretagogues or insulin increases the risk of hypoglycemia, necessitating potential dose adjustments.
