Indications
Primary Indication: Used for the treatment of anemia in adult patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) on dialysis, with the requirement that the patient has been on continuous dialysis for at least 3 months.
Combination Therapy: Must be used in combination with standard therapies such as iron supplementation, but cannot replace blood transfusion therapy.
Key Limitations
It has not been proven to improve quality of life, reduce fatigue, or enhance patients' overall health status.
Contraindicated in non-dialysis CKD patients with anemia and in situations requiring blood transfusion as a substitute for immediate anemia correction.

Tablets: Available in three strengths: 150 mg (round/white), 300 mg (oval/yellow), and 450 mg (oval/pink). Each tablet is marked with "VDT" and the corresponding dosage number on its surface.
Ingredient Characteristics
Active Ingredient: Vadadustat (chemical name: 2-[[5-(3-chlorophenyl)-3-hydroxypyridine-2-carbonyl]amino]acetic acid), with a molecular weight of 306.70.
Excipients: Include colloidal silicon dioxide, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, etc. The film coating contains polyvinyl alcohol, polyethylene glycol, and talc.

It is a white to off-white crystalline solid, almost insoluble in water, and easily soluble in organic solvents.

Temperature Requirement: Store at 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F), with short-term exposure to 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F) allowed.
