Therapeutic Indications

Femara is approved for the treatment of breast cancer in postmenopausal women across several stages. This includes the adjuvant treatment of hormone receptor-positive early breast cancer. It is also indicated as an extended adjuvant therapy following approximately five years of prior tamoxifen treatment. Furthermore, it is used for both first and second-line treatment of locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer that is hormone receptor-positive or of unknown receptor status.
