It is used in adults and children over one year old for the treatment of metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), systemic anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL), and inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor (IMT), provided these cancers are ALK or ROS1-positive. It was first approved in the U.S. in 2011.
