DIACOMIT is dosed at 50 mg/kg/day, divided into 2–3 oral doses, adjusted by age and weight, with a maximum daily dose of 3,000 mg.

Weight-Based Dosing and Administration

The recommended dosage is 50 mg/kg/day, administered in two or three divided doses based on age and body weight (Table 1). For infants 6 months to <1 year or patients 1–10 kg, twice-daily dosing is mandated to limit fluid intake. Capsules must be swallowed whole with water during meals; suspension powder requires immediate consumption after mixing. Dose adjustments are permitted within 50–150 mg of the target to accommodate available strengths (250 mg/500 mg). Gradual tapering is advised to avoid withdrawal-triggered seizures. Missed doses should not be doubled.

Stiripentol(Diacomit)
DIACOMIT is indicated for patients with Dravet syndrome aged 6 months or older, weighing at least 7 kg, who are also receiving clobazam.
