How should I use this medicine?
The recommended dosage is 45 mg administered subcutaneously once monthly.
Administration Protocol
WAINUA is supplied as a 45 mg/0.8 mL solution in a single-dose autoinjector. Injections should be administered into the abdomen, upper thigh, or back of the upper arm (if administered by a healthcare provider or caregiver). Patients must allow the autoinjector to warm to room temperature for 30 minutes pre-injection and inspect for particulate matter or discoloration. Missed doses should be administered promptly, with subsequent doses resumed monthly. Dose adjustments are unnecessary for mild-to-moderate renal/hepatic impairment, but severe impairment populations were not studied.
