Adverse Reactions

The most frequently reported adverse reactions for PFIC patients include diarrhea, liver test abnormalities (elevated transaminases, bilirubin), vomiting, abdominal pain, and fat-soluble vitamin deficiency. In ALGS patients, common adverse reactions are diarrhea, abdominal pain, hematoma, and weight decrease. Post-marketing reports have included gastrointestinal hemorrhage and elevated gamma-glutamyltransferase. Diarrhea was a common reason for temporary treatment interruption.
