Potential Side Effects
Common adverse reactions vary by patient group. In adults with chronic liver disease, fever, abdominal pain, nausea, headache, fatigue, and peripheral edema may occur. In adults with immune thrombocytopenia, headache, fatigue, bruising, nosebleed, upper respiratory infection, joint pain, gum bleeding, petechiae, and nasopharyngitis are common. In pediatric patients with immune thrombocytopenia, viral infection, nasopharyngitis, cough, fever, and oropharyngeal pain are frequently reported. A serious risk is thrombotic/thromboembolic complications.
