Adverse Reactions

The most common adverse reactions observed in clinical trials include abdominal pain, changes in bowel habits (such as constipation or abnormal feces), rash, alopecia (hair loss), and mood swings. Other reported reactions include anemia and iron deficiency. Postmarketing experience with related trientine products also includes reports of more serious but less frequent events such as colitis, muscle spasms, rhabdomyolysis, dystonia, and myasthenia gravis.
