Common side effects of Defitelio include hypotension, gastrointestinal disturbances, and epistaxis.
Adverse Reactions
Defitelio has been associated with several common adverse reactions in patients, including hypotension, gastrointestinal disturbances such as diarrhea, vomiting, and nausea, as well as epistaxis (nosebleeds). These reactions are observed in at least 10% of patients, regardless of causality. While these side effects are typically manageable, they should be closely monitored during treatment, especially in critically ill patients where additional medical support may be necessary to manage symptoms. Immediate discontinuation may be required if severe adverse effects occur.
