Adverse Reactions and Side Effects of ORENCIA
In clinical trials, the most frequent adverse events in RA patients treated with ORENCIA include headache, upper respiratory tract infections, nasopharyngitis, and nausea. For patients receiving ORENCIA for aGVHD prophylaxis, common reactions include anemia, hypertension, CMV reactivation, pneumonia, pyrexia, and epistaxis. More severe reactions, such as acute kidney injury, hypermagnesemia, and decreased CD4 lymphocytes, have also been reported. In pediatric patients, particularly those with JIA or PsA, gastrointestinal and respiratory side effects are notable.
